Happy Birthday to me! My birthday was a couple of weeks ago, but I almost felt like skipping it. For some reason I didn't want to turn 28, but now it just seems like a number. Justin gave me a new watch--THANKS!! We had some friends come over for cake and ice cream. Thanks to Angie for making a delicious chocolate cake. Lexie gave me some yummy zucchini bread that Joby and I had for breakfast the next day.
Emma, Luciana, Pierce, and Joby LOVED the cake and ice cream. This is the only picture from my birthday.

Daddy/ Daughter Moment
Our sweet Jerni fell asleep in Justin's arms. She doesn't get to fall asleep in our arms very often because of so much going on and Joby usually needs our help with something. So, it's hard to tell who loves it more.

Squiggle, Wiggle, 1, 2, 3
Some of you know what a bear it is to brush Joby's teeth. We have to pin him down to brush his teeth every day. Yes, EVERY day! Thanks to Thomas for showing us the technique once used on Joe. Joby sometimes likes to brush his own teeth. This was one of those times. He probably brushed for about 10 minutes.
He brushed his lip.
He brushed his ear.
And finally, he brushed his teeth.

Justin's/Joby's Hat
Justin came home from school one night wearing his hat. Joby immediately started putting it on and saying it was his hat.
It is a little big for his head, so it would fall down over his eyes.
He thought it was very funny to have it fall over his eyes and walk into walls, doors, and my legs. For all those concerned, he could see somewhat out of the hat.

Big Jerni
Jerni loves to have baths. The only thing she doesn't like about them is getting out. She wails very loudly. She is almost 3 months old and is getting quite the personality. She is very laid back like her father, except when it's time to eat-like her mother.

Tagged...
I love reading everyone else's "tags", so I thought I'd share a little about us. This picture was taken after church Memorial weekend 2003.
How long have you been together? About 9 years.
How long did you date? Roughly 2 years. Most of which Justin was in Utah and I in North Carolina.
How old is he? 31 years young.
Who eats more? Justin eats more food; I eat more chocolate desserts.
Who said "I love you" first? I did. Looking back, I said it way too early, but I got the guy in the end. So, it must have worked.
Who is taller? Justin--by a full foot. One of the many reasons I married him--to have tall children, hopefully.
Who sings better? We both think we're not great singers, but I like Justin's singing better.
Who is smarter? Justin is smarter than me by far!!
Who does the laundry? Me.
Who does the dishes? Whirlpool.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Looking at the bed--Justin and he ALWAYS sleeps on his left side.
Who pays the bills? Me with a little help from Bank of America online Bill Pay.
Who mows the lawn? Justin. Thanks to my mom having mowed over her own foot when I was about 14, I'll never get near one.
Who cooks dinner? Me. Unless, it's Friday night and then Justin cooks and does the dishes. (His dad taught him well!)
Who is more stubborn? Me.
Who kissed who first? Justin finally kissed me after several weeks of going out. I think his parents were inside betting he would or would not do it that night.
Who asked who out? Justin asked me out after going out on his boat with some other friends. I was one of three girls he wanted to ask out that summer. Thankfully, I was first.
Who proposed? Justin at the park by the Provo Temple on November 25, 2000.
Who is more sensitive? I am, but it's just that I'm so in touch with my feelings.
Who has more friends? We have the same friends.
Who has more siblings? Justin--4 brothers and 1 sister. Yes, all their names start with "J". I have one older brother, also a "J" name.
Tagging next? Anyone who hasn't done this yet and would be open to sharing information.
Now, you know a lot about us.

Superbowl Party
We had the Ortho. Residents and their spouses over to our house for the Superbowl. Everyone brought a dish to share, so there was, of course, tons of food. We watched the game and then during half time, we had our own entertainment--Guitar Hero. It's funny to see these professional residents jamming to Metallica. We had lots of fun and were glad everyone else did too.

Chubby kids
Can you guess which picture is of Joby and which one is of Jerni? The top picture is Joby at about 4 months. The bottom picture is Jerni at about 2 months. I just love the round chubby cheeks and double chins.

Big Helper
I was folding laundry one afternoon and Joby was helping. He laid down with Jerni's warm, clean blanket and watched "Curious George." He was more help than he realizes.

Like Father, Like Son
Justin had taken his tie off from church and Joby wanted to wear it. Joby is not one for dress up or any sort of additional clothing. He is very much a t-shirt and jeans kind of a boy. So, it was very rare that he would put a tie on. He looks so cute... Joby, too!

Good morning
I went to get Joby out of bed the other morning and he wanted Jerni to lay with him. It was so sweet. He repeated about a million times, "Good morning, Jerni!" His voice gets amazingly high pitched when he talks to her.

Joby's PUMPed up!
I thought these pictures were too cute too pass up not posting. Joby was having such a great time playing with my new breast pump (before it had been used).
He would put the breast opening on his mouth and scream into it. This is why we don't buy him his own toys.
