Merry Christmas 2009 (again)

Christmas with my family! We had everyone over to our house (my in-laws) for breakfast and exchanging of gifts. My mom spoiled the kids and us!

Before opening. Santa doesn't wrap presents at our house. Our presents to the kids are wrapped below. Joby has Spider-man paper and Jerni has Tinkerbell paper.

Christmas wouldn't be complete without a new train set for Joby.

We had a great time in VA with Justin's family. Christmas was meager for Justin and I with moving, starting a practice, etc. So, we decided to spend only $20 and see what we could come up with. I gave Justin an OU license plate for his car and socks. I got a griddle that I bought myself the day after Thanksgiving. Merry Christmas!

Pre-K Christmas Party

Joby's last day of Pre-K was his Christmas Party. We (homeroom Mom's) decided to do Polar Express theme. The kids got to wear their pajamas, just like in the movie. Mrs. Zerby had the class walk down to the library were someone built a train for the kids to take pictures in front of. She gave the kids a golden ticket and punched it on the way in to class to watch the hot chocolate scene from the movie. We had pizza bites, juice boxes, and the kids got to decorate rice krispy treats.

Joby's last day!

My Girls!

I have tears filling my eyes as I am writing this (seriously)--my last Girls Night Out! Last week, we met at PF Chang's for our last GNO of the year and my farewell. I am so blessed to have such great friends here in OK; the best!! I never thought I would feel like OK was home, but now that I do, it's time for us to move. I love you all so much and will miss you so terribly!

Joby's class rode on the school bus to visit the YPS Administration Building today to sing Christmas carols. He was so excited to ride the bus, that singing the songs on the stage was an added bonus.

Christmas Fest

We went to Cathedral of Praise Church on Saturday night for their Christmas Fest. It was unbelievable!! Tons of great trees, lots of characters for the kids to take pictures with, hot cocoa, cookies, face painting, games, crafts, and train rides--all for FREE!

OU Orthodontic Graduation

FINALLY!! Justin graduated from his residency in orthodontics from OU on Friday. There are 4 in his class and we had a lovely ceremony and dinner at the Petroleum Club. His mom and dad flew in that afternoon to celebrate this great occasion. I can't express enough how proud I am of him. Here a few highlight shots from the graduation:

Happy Birthday, Jerni!

Our sweet, sweet Jerni is now 2 years old! We are so blessed to have a loving, sweet, adorable girl. Since, she's only 2 we were able to get away with a simple party. We met the Brewer and Martin families at Chick-fil-A for a Tinkerbell party. Thanks for everyone coming out on such a cold, windy night.

Gingerbread House

All week long in Pre-K, they have been doing different things with gingerbread men. Reading books, counting his buttons, watching them dissolve in water, Play-doh, Gingerbread memory, and today, they made their very own gingerbread house.

Hair Raising Fun

Downtown in December

The city does a great Downtown in December with all kinds of cool things. Friday night was the kick off with the tree lighting ceremony. They had carolers, dancers, and hot chocolate. When the dancers came on, Jerni kept yelling, "Barbie!" We had recently watched Barbie's Nutcracker. Anyways, it was lots of fun. The kids were so excited they just couldn't hide it!

She's so excited because she has a cup full of M&M's.

He's so excited because he got a baseball card signed by Rowdy the Redhawk.

Another great thing about Downtown in December are the free canal rides. We were pleasantly surprised at how long the ride was. The kids both fell quickly asleep as soon as we got in the car. What a great Thanksgiving break!

Orthodontics vs. Oral Surgery Turkey Bowl

This year for the Turkey Bowl, it was Ortho vs. Oral Surgery. Oral Surgery won, but I think the real winner was everyone for not getting hurt. Us wives depend on our husbands hands to make a living.

Pre-K Thanksgiving Feast

Joby's class had their Thanksgiving Feast last week.


They decorated the tables and a few of us Mom's put out all the food.

Joby's favorite was the ham roll-up.

And the cheese cubes.

They had these cute little turkey hats and did a little Tom Turkey dance for us.
