Best Buds

We are so blessed to have some great friends here in Oklahoma. And so are the kids:

Aiden and Jerni

Joby and Emma

Christmas Boat Parade

We headed out last night to see the boat parade on the Oklahoma River. The Brewer's and the Sautter's were brave enough to come out in the freezing cold, also. We had a great time watching the firework show and eating Laurie's snacks (thanks, by the way). Joby was ready to go before the boats got started down the River, but we sat in front of them on the bank, so we'd seen enough. We left before the parade started and still sat in traffic. Afterwards, everyone came back to our house for some yummy hot chocolate.

A frozen family.

Joby wanted to tell Santa what he wants for Christmas, but Santa was not in the most cheery mood to listen.

Our little bundled-up baby!

Gingerbread House Decorating Party

I thought Joby would have fun decorating a Gingerbread House for the holidays. I invited a few of his friends to help. We had a house and a train. The house was easy to put together, but not the train. I had to ask for help from the other Mom's. THANKS! It was a lot of fun. The kids really got into decorating and eating the candy, of course.

I think they turned out quite nice!

Bows and Boys

I made some bows (with the help of Laurie) a few weeks ago and this and how they turned out:

This was all Joby's doing!

Down and Out

Joby caught the sick bug that has been making its way through the area. He woke us up the other morning with vomit on him and his bed. We got him and his room cleaned up and then it was time for Justin to head out to school. I knew he was tired, but I didn't think he was this tired...

Stand Tall

Jerni is pulling up on things more and more these days. She'll be 11 months tomorrow and soon we'll enter the walking phase. I'm not too excited, but it is very exciting to see her growing.

What a Mess!

Justin and Tony were watching the BYU game and Angie and I went out shopping, so the kids were left to fend for themselves (not really, but sort of). This was the mess that came from the evening:

It was all cleaned up by the time we got home. THANK YOU!

So long, Soccer!

Joby had his last soccer game of the season yesterday. He made some progress as the season went on, but we are going to wait a few years to put in him any sport that involves competition. He is just not ready for this kind of sport. Coach Becca was sick, so the Medal Ceremony was very brief. Thanks Becca for all your hard work, patience, and support!

Joby needed a little help.

During half time, the kids were getting out every ounce of energy. They had more fun running around Justin, than playing in the soccer game.

Justin volunteered to be the coach, since Becca was sick. He's a busy man.

Happy Halloween

Last night, we went trick-or-treating with some friends. To kick off the night, we had pizza for dinner and then, all the candy you can carry in a bucket. We went door-to-door in a friends neighborhood and then, did a few houses in our neighborhood. We had lots of fun and now have too much candy.

Yes, this is Joby's Halloween costume. A Halloween football player.

Haunt the Zoo

The OKC Zoo puts on a great Halloween festivity every year-Haunt the Zoo. It's 1.5 miles of pumpkins lining the way for candy. There's picture spots all over of different scenes of Halloween, airplanes, trains, The Wizard of Oz, fairies, etc. Every few feet there's a sponsor of the event handing out candy--good candy. Joby would ask, "Where's another trick-or-treat?" We had a great time together that night, along with every other person from OK.

Good things are in our future!

The cow from Chick-fil-A. Joby knew him right away.

The highlight of Jerni's night. Something to gnaw on.

The clowns were making balloon animals. This is a giraffe.
